OUR STORY
Established in 2025 by Claire Lingham, an RIBA/ARB-registered architect since 2014, and Certified Passivhaus Designer, she brings over 22 years of experience in delivering exceptional residential projects. Previously serving as Associate Director at Studio Four Architects in Hampshire, Claire developed extensive expertise in managing complex projects and guiding them from concept through to completion.
In 2026, Abi Jones joined Evoke Architects Ltd as a Director after 15 years of successfully running her own practice in Devon. With over 22 years of experience, Abi specialises in residential projects, particularly within conservation areas and listed buildings. She brings a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of technical design and construction methods, informing and strengthening the design process from its earliest stages.
Specialising in sensitive sites, particularly within National Parks across Hampshire, the South Coast, Devon and Cornwall, the practice has built a reputation for combining innovative design with practical, achievable solutions. Claire and Abi are consistently recommended by clients for their thoughtful approach, clear communication, technical capabilities and integrations and their ability to navigate challenging planning environments.
Over the years, Claire and Abi have developed a combined portfolio spanning contemporary new builds, large scale housing, traditional extensions, works to listed buildings and bespoke renovations — always tailored to the character of the site and the lifestyle of the client. With sustainability at the heart of their work and Passivhaus certification in place, the practice ensures every project balances environmental responsibility with long-lasting beauty.
Our Team
Claire and Abi are a close-knit team who first met while studying at the University of Plymouth. Now based in Hampshire and Devon respectively, they bring both shared roots and regional perspective to their work. Having also worked together briefly in Devon, their collaboration is built on a strong foundation of trust, shared values, and an understanding developed over years of learning and professional experience together.
