PAUNTLEY
Planning permission was granted in 2020 for the internal and external refurbishment of an existing dwelling, including the addition of a contemporary porch entrance and a master bedroom balcony.
The new entrance formed the only increase in floor area, with the design largely utilising the existing footprint to create a more dynamic, open-plan layout and an improved connection to the garden.
This project is currently under construction.

Design Intent
The existing dwelling was substantial in size and sat on a generous plot with excellent views; however, it had been built with relatively low-quality materials, and the layout did not suit modern living. The proposal introduced a spacious open-plan kitchen and dining area with large sliding doors that open directly onto the garden.
The client wanted to introduce a more modern aesthetic to the home, so the existing external materials were replaced with a contemporary palette that creates a cohesive look with the new entrance and balcony.
